World AIDS Day 2023: Mary-Lucy Hospital’s Commitment to Community Well-being

World AIDS Day 2023 – Health Walk

In commemoration of World AIDS Day 2023, Mary-Lucy Hospital took significant strides towards promoting community well-being through a purposeful health walk. This initiative served as a beacon, illuminating the pivotal role of physical activity in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially for those living with HIV.

Purposeful Health Walk: A Step Towards Wellness

As part of our commitment to raising awareness for World AIDS Day 2023, the health walk aimed to spotlight the crucial role of physical activity in sustaining a healthy lifestyle within the community. Regular physical activity and exercise are fundamental elements of a healthy lifestyle for everyone, including individuals with HIV.

By engaging the community in this energetic event, we sought to foster awareness of the importance of regular exercise in promoting overall well-being and contributing to a healthier, more informed society.

Vibrant Commemoration: From Walk to Wellness

The celebration commenced with an energetic health walk from Odorgonnor Senior High School to Fanmilk Junction, setting a vibrant tone for the day. Participants then gathered at the Royal Medical Diagnostics Centre for an invigorating aerobic session led by dedicated Physical Training Instructors.

Distinguished guests, including Dr. Davies Kofie Adedze (Director & Consultant), Mr. Christian Osafo Boateng (Chief Administrator of Mary-Lucy Hospital), Dr. Esther Odame (Ga Central Municipal Health Director), and Abena Oppong Aboagye from the HIV Health Directorate of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly, added their invaluable presence to the event.
